The Easter holidays often see the first of the mild weather and so perfect for an Easter family day out.
Of course, Easter wouldn’t be Easter without a good old Easter Egg Hunt, and lots of places run their hunts right across the school holidays or even earlier.
They make a great day out, perfect for the kids running off some steam and a great way of getting a breath of fresh air.
To help you choose the perfect Easter Egg Hunt near you we have put together a list of the best Easter Egg Hunts and Easter trails throughout Manchester below.
Easter Sunday falls early this year on the 9th of April 2023, with Easter weekend from Good Friday 7th of April 2023 to Easter Monday on the 10th of April 2023.
Although lots of Machester schools usually have their holidays a week on either side of Easter weekend, with the early date make sure you double-check with your child’s school before booking any events.

The National Trust Easter Egg Hunts
From 1st April 2023
We are lucky to live in Manchester where there are some great National Trust properties.
Each year they all run great Easter Egg Hunts and Trails and 2023 is no different.
From Dunham Massey to Lyme Park, Tatton Park to Quarry Bank and more they all have lots of Easter Egg hunts in store with a chocolate treat at the end.
Giant Easter Egg Hunt, RHS Garden Bridgewater, Salford
1st to 16th April 2023
The Giant Easter Egg Hunt is back at RHS Garden Bridgewater this April.
Taking place in the gardens you will follow the trail to find the giant painted Easter eggs, based on designs by local school children.

Broad Oaks Easter Heart Trail, Fletcher Moss, Didsbury

The Broad Oaks Easter Heart Trail is back for 2023.
Make your way around the lovely Fletcher Moss Park on the lookout for the Egg themed plaques.

The Great Bunny Hunt, Fog Lane Park, Manchester
1st to 16th April 2023
Head to Fog Lane Park for The Great Bunny Hunt.
Pick up an activity sheet from the Fog Lane Park Cafe and look around for the park for the rabbits.
Once you have found them all head back to pick up a small prize.

Easter Egg Hunt At Smithills Open Farm, Bolton
1st to 10th April 2023
The big easter egg hunt is back at Smithhills for 2023.
You will be able to go on the hunt for eggs which you can exchange for a chocolate treat or Easter Teddy.
Plus there will be a chance to have your photo with the Easter Bunny or chicks.
There will also be lots of farm fun with spring animals, tractor rides and lots more.

Happy Hoppy Easter at the Hive, Moss Bank Park, Bolton

The Hive at Moss Bank Park in Bolton has lots of eggciting Easter activities in-store.
Not only can you take part in their Easter Egg Hunt, but little ones can also make a pair of bunny ears and a willow egg decoration.
Plus there will be lots of games, a campfire and a tasty treat.

Free Easter Egg Hunt, Leverhulme Park, Bolton
1st April 2023
Head to Leverhulme Park in Bolton for a Free Easter Egg Hunt for 2023.
To take park in the Egg Hunt head to the Long Lane entrance of Leverhulme Park (next to the outdoor gym).
Then follow the Easter Egg word hunt to receive an egg.
There will be also free soft archery and bubbles galore.

Easter Egg Hunt At Cockfields Farm
3rd to 9th April 2023
The Cockfield’s Farm Easter Egg Hunt is back for 2023 and promises to be one of the biggest in the Northwest.
Head to the Easter Village on the hunt and receive a chocolate treat. Plus watch out for the hidden golden eggs for special prizes.
They also have lots of other Easter fun instore including a fun show, the chance to meet baby animals, groom donkeys and meet lots of animals.
You will also be able to enjoy a tractor ride, ride their carousel, jump on the bouncy pillow and lots more.

Scholes Park Easter Trail And Spring Clean, Gatley, Stockport
2nd April 2023
Scholes Park will be hosting a fun Easter Trail this April.
Once completed you will be able to collect an Easter Prize. Tickets cost £2.50 each which need to be booked in advance.
There will also be a little pick and spring flower planting
The event will take place from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm on Sunday 2nd April 2023.

The Great Golden Easter Egg Heist Trail, Stanley Square, Sale
3rd to 8th April 2023
Organised by Our Kids Social, you are tasked with helping Freddie the detective Fox to investigate “The Great Golden Easter Egg Heist.”
The Great Golden Eggs have disappeared overnight from the bunny bank. Freddie suspects three notorious local gangs may be involved, The Metro Mice, The Brooklands Bunnies and The Stanley Square Squirrels.
Help Freddie follow the trail, find the criminals and solve the clues along the way. Will the trail run cold or will he find all the stolen Golden Easter Eggs?
The trail is free and maps are available from Bean & Brush Art cafe. Once you complete the trail you will receive Easter treats.
The trail will be running from 3rd to 8th April 2023 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Alice In Wonderland Easter Egg Hunt, Dunham Massey Ice Cream Farm
3rd to 10th April 2023
Head to the Dunham Massey Ice Cream Farm for an Alice in Wonderland-themed Easter scavenger hunt.
Go on the hunt and solve the clues to find the eggs. Discover them all to get a prize.
Plus there will be lots of photo opportunities, an Alice in Wonderland Tipi and Easter flavoured Ice-cream.
The trail is running on 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th of April with time slots from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
Tickets to the Dunham Massey Ice Cream Farm Easter Egg hunt cost £7.50 for a child’s ticket, adults are free.

Easter Egg Trail At Bramhall Hall

5th to 16th April 2023
Head to Bramhall Hall and go on the hunt.
Along the way you can learn about Easter traditions, spot chicks hiding, and take part in a craft activity and you may even get to spot an Easter character.
The trail will be open on set between 5th to 16th April 2023.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Fireground Museum, Rochdale
6th April 2023
The fun Easter Trail is back at the Fireground in Rochdale.
Make your way around the fire service-themed museum and receive a small treat at the end.

Free Easter Chick Hunt, Buile Hill Park, Salford
7th April 2023
The Buile Hill Mansion Easter Egg Hunt is back in Salford for 2023.
To take part in the egg hunt trail, head to outside the Buile Hill Mansion and collect a sheet (take your own pen). Once you complete the trail you will get a sweet treat.
500 Easter Eggs have been donated by Northwest Funfairs for the event.
The Buile Hill Mansion Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Good Friday 7th April 2023 from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm.

Easter Egg Hunt, Stockport Market
7th and 8th April 2023
Go on the hunt at Stockport Market to find all the bunnies hidden around the grounds to win a prize.

Easter Egg Paddle Hunt, Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough
7th and 10th April 2023
The Easter Egg Paddle Hunt is back for 2023 at Hollingworth Lake.
Enjoy an Easter egg hunt with a difference as you set off in a bell boat for a guided paddle hunt around the lake where you need to be on the lookout for hidden Easter treasures!
All hunters will receive a complimentary chocolate Easter egg.
The Easter Egg Hunt is suitable for children over 4 years and will take an hour.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and tickets cost from £12.00 – booking is required
The Hollingworth Lake. Easter Egg Paddle Hunt will take place on Good Friday 7th April and Easter Monday 10th April at 11.00 am and 1.00 pm each day.

Boothstown Village Hall is organising an Easter Egg Hunt around Boothstown Village.
Collect a map from the Village Hall for £1, and go on the hunt for letters which has been hidden by the Easter Bunny.
Once you have found them all you can return to get an Easter Treat and take part in an Easter Craft.

Teddy Bear Easter Trail, Lancashire Mining Museum, Astley
8th and 9th April 2023
Lancashire Mining Museum will be celebrating Easter with a fun Teddy Bear Trail.
Follow the trail and get an Easter Egg prize at the end.
Tickets cost £5.00 and include a return rail journey on the museum’s train for the child with an accompanying adult.
There will also be the Greater Manchester Police Band Playing on the 8th April and Afternoon teas can be purchased on 9th April.

Easter Egg Trail, St George’s Community Centre, Dane Bank
9th April 2023
Join in the Dane Bank Easter Egg Hunt organised by St George’s Community Centre.
Collect an activity sheet, then make your way around Dane Bank looking for the hidden eggs. At each egg there will be a letter to add to your sheet which spell out an Easter word.
Take your sheet to the community centre between 11.30 and 13.30 during their Easter Family Day on Sunday 9th April 2023 to collect a chocolate prize.

Kenyon Hall Farm Easter Egg Hunt
18th March to 26th April 2023
Kenyon Hall Farm’s Easter Egg Hunt is returning for 2023.
The event will give the you the chance to go on the hunt eggs for following the clues around the farm.
There will also be a sweet treat at the end.

Knowsley Safari Spots and Stripes Safari Egg Hunt
1st to 16th April 2023
Go on a wild Egg Hunt this Easter at Knowsley Safari Park.
Onn your way around the foot safari keep your eyes out for the six giant eggs which will either have spots or stripes.
You will receive a map and stickers on arrival.
Then you will need to match all six eggs to the animals on the trail sheet using the special Easter stickers. Find them all to a sweet treat.
By the end of the trail, participants will be ‘eggs-pert’ in animals’ coats as you discover interesting and fun facts such as why tigers have black stripes, why giraffes have distinctive brown spots and lots more.
This activity is included in the usual admission fee to the park where tickets start at £19.50 each.

Chester Zoo Really Wild Egg Trail
1st to 16th April 2023
For another Egg Hunt on the wild side head to Chester Zoo.
The Really Wild Egg Trail will see six giant animal-themed eggs hidden around the zoo.
You will need to keep your eyes peeled as they may not be the animals you would expect.
Collect your map and follow the trail to learn about the incredible animals that start off as an egg.
Complete the trail and get a free Nat Geo Kids Magazine.
The trail is free as part of the usual membership which starts at £22.72 for children and £29.54 for adults when booking online.

The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt is back for 2023, but with a difference.
This year Cadbury are giving you the chance to hide any egg anywhere in the world with a clue for your loved one to go and find it.
