Manchester is getting a huge all season beach and water park.

Therme Manchester, the wellbeing resort has announced it be bringing an all-season beach to Greater Manchester.

The plans for the new Manchester water park were initially announced in 2020 and now more details have been revealed.

The £250m development will be located at Trafford City and will include a ‘next generation’ waterpark, thermal bathing and a wellbeing spa, these include immersive digital art, an on-site urban farm and botanical gardens.

It has now been revealed that Therme Manchester will also feature the UK’s first all-season beach with lapping waves.

The project aims to be more than just a waterpark and spa, but to create an integrated experience to benefit physical and mental health. Using the very latest technology they intend to make the development even more sustainable and deliver additional exciting features for visitors.

New Manchester Waterpark

This includes the world’s first living waterslides with a 3D printed superstructure to house thousands of plants and trees, as part of its ‘next generation’ water park area.

Visitors can expect a dedicated family zone with a wave pool, waterslides, indoor and outdoor pools and lots of fun.

There will be an adults-only area with swim-up bars, warm-water lagoons, mineral baths, steam rooms and a sauna, along with a variety of classes.

The whole site will be the size of 19 football pitches and include 20 pools, 35 waterslides and the newly announced beach.

Originally due to be completion in 2023 it is now expected to open in 2025.
