The Grotto Manchester City Centre
The Grotto is back for Christmas 2026 with a brand new home.
This year The Grotto will heading to Manchester City Centre as where Santa will be setting up shop at The Corn Exchange.

What to Expect from The Grotto Manchester
The Grotto is more than just a visit to Santa – it’s an immersive winter wonderland experience where the whole family becomes part of a magical festive story.
Step inside and journey through a series of enchanting rooms, meeting Santa’s cheerful elves and taking part in festive missions along the way. Your adventure will eventually lead to the moment everyone has been waiting for – meeting Santa himself!
With plenty of magic and festive surprises along the way, The Grotto is designed to be enjoyed together as a family, creating special Christmas memories you’ll be talking about long after you’ve left.
Do you get a gift from Santa?
Yes! Each child will receive a special age-appropriate gift from Santa.
There will also be a pop-up gift shop to purchase further memorabilia to help mark the visit.
Can You Take Photos At The Grotto Manchester?
You are able to take your own photos with Sant, and professional photos will also be available.
However, photo merchandise is available for you to purchase after your visit, from the Christmas Market.
How Long Does the Santa The Grotto Experience Take?
The Grotto experience is expected to take 30 minutes.
However, it is recommended to allow for additional time for arrival, looking at the photographs, etc.
You should aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before your time slot.
When will Santa be at the Grotto
The Grotto will be at the Corn Exchnage from Friday 20th November 2026
It will then run from Tuesdays to Sundays until 24th December 2026.

Will the The Grotto be running SEND visits with Santa for 2026?
The Grotto will be offering Whispering Winter Sessions with a SEND-friendly grotto for Christmas 2026.
The SEND sessions will offer a lower capacity of guests, lighting changes and lowered music volume.
The SEND relaxed Santa The Grotto experience will take place on:
- Sunday 29th November 2026
- Sunday 6th December 2026
- Wednesday 9th December 2026
The tickets to the SEND sessions cost
- £29.50 for children
- £14.50 for adults
