Enjoy a summer of outdoor adventure as Brick Explorers arrives at RHS Garden Bridgewater this summer holiday.

Running throughout the school holidays, this family-friendly event combines brick-built wildlife sculptures, hands-on building activities and interactive theatre, encouraging children to discover the amazing superpowers of nature while exploring the beautiful gardens.

Brick Explorers Sculpture Trail

Saturday 18th July to Monday 31st August

Set off on a fun family trail around the gardens to discover incredible brick-built wildlife sculptures hidden amongst the plants. Collect each creature’s special superpower, complete your activity booklet with stickers and learn how you can help create habitats for wildlife at home.

In will run from 10.00am – 6.00pm daily when open. 

Brick Explorers Build Station

Saturday 18th July to Tuesday 28th August 2026

Get creative by adding your own brick creations to help transform a grey city into a greener place for wildlife. This drop-in activity encourages children to imagine how plants and nature can make towns and cities flourish.

It will take place in the Marquee on Saturdays and the Learning Studios on Tuesdays  11.00 am to 4.00 pm on:

  • Saturday 18th – Friday 24th July
  • Every Tuesday to Friday from 28th July – 28th August 

Buzz – An Interactive Theatre Experience

Saturday 25th to Monday 24th August 2026 

Join Betty the Beekeeper for an enchanting 20-minute interactive theatre show from Colour the Clouds Theatre Company. Through storytelling, music and audience participation, families can discover why bees and biodiversity are so important to our natural world.

Taking place 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm on: 

  • Saturdays 25th & Sunday 26th July
  • Mondays 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th August

The Wind in the Willows Trail, RHS Garden Bridgewater

For a great day out you can enjoy a nature-filled family day out at RHS Garden Bridgewater with The Wind in the Willows Trail! Explore the beautiful gardens and follow a hands-on adventure inspired by the beloved story of Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad.

Young visitors can enjoy themed activities, discover hidden creatures along the garden paths, and take part in creative tasks as they wander through the stunning outdoor spaces together. It’s a lovely mix of story, exploration and green-space fun for families.

Garden admission applies; tickets for adults and children are available. A great choice for families and younger visitors.

  • All activities are included with normal garden admission.
  • Visitors travelling by public transport can save 30% on garden admission.
  • The Bee Network 33 bus provides regular services between Manchester city centre and RHS Garden Bridgewater.

How Much Is Entry To RHS Garden Bridgewater

Garden Admission to RHS Garden Bridgewater is Free to RHS members and children under 5, for everyone else it costs the following: 

  • Adults from £13.60 when booked online
  • Children 5-16 years £6.00 
  • Children under 5 –  free 

They also offer discounts for travelling by bus, cycling or walking to the gardens. 

Plus Salford Residents can visit for free on Tuesdays.
