The famous Manchester Christmas Markets are back for their 24th year and bring the festive feel to the city centre.

Where are the Manchester Christmas Markets 2022?
The Manchester Christmas Markets are spread across the city centre at the following locations:
Winter Gardens at Piccadilly Gardens
Winter Gardens will return again to Piccadilly Gardens.
Here you will find a whole host of food stalls including:
- Pancakes
- Churros
- Vegan Bratwursts from Parmageddon
- Amsterdam Frites
- Foreign Ales
- Winter tipples
- Pig and Barrells Pork Barms
- And lots more…
There will also new local traders each week and a giant Nordic-themed double tipi bar for over 18s.
The bar will be fully heated, and will feature ambient lighting, wooden benches, fake furs, and a fire pit along with lots of festive cheer.
You will also discover entertainment throughout the week including live music and DJs and the iconic 4 meters high icon Manchester Windmill.
St Ann’s Square and Exchange Street
St Ann’s Square was the original site for Manchester’s Christmas markets back in 1998.
For Christmas 2022, you can expect a large undercover bar providing German beers and warm cherry Gluhwein.
You will also find Manchester foodie favourites such as
- Yard and Coop with their salt and pepper chicken fries,
- Manc and Proud offering Mancunian themed delights
- Authentic paella and tapas,
- Continental chocolates
- English cheeses, and more…
There will also be lots of local traders and art emporiums for hunting down the perfect gift.
Christmas Markets on Market Street
Market Street beside the Manchester Arndale is the place to head to start your Christmas shopping.
Here you find an abundance of gift stalls from crafters offering everything from Christmas decorations to Candles and Jewellery and producers showing off the likes of spiced run and cheese gift sets.
Manchester Christmas Market stalls on New Cathedral Street
New Cathedral Street will offer everything you need for that lovely festive market feel.
Think high-end gift stalls, light up Christmas decs, and homemade cocktails to share with guests at home.
Foodies will be in their element with New York Bagels, 5 bean chilli, currywurst and smoking cocktails all on the menu.

Stalls selling fine cast ornaments, old fashioned liquorice, handmade cocktails for home, and light up Christmas decorations, lead to food stalls offering everything from vegan 5 bean chilli, to New York Bagels – swallowed down perhaps by one of cosmopolitan Bar 3’s famous Instagram-worthy smoking cocktails.
Christmas Market Food Stalls on King Street
To try out some of the best food in Manchester you need to head to King Street.
Take an around-the-world tour from arancini, Greek gyros, French garlic mushrooms, and a lovely middle eastern menu from popular restaurant Habas.
Exchange Square Christmas Market Stalls
The Porky Pigs Yorkshire Pudding Wrap is back in Manchester for 2022 and you can find it in Exchange Square.
If that is not reason enough to head to this side of town, you will also discover mini pancakes, German kebabs, Italian Pizza and lovely fudge.
The Mill Exchange bar, will be serving up their special Mancunian mulled wine made on-site and you can check out its legends of Manchester artwork adorning its walls.
The Corn Exchange Stalls
If you head to area between the Corn Exchange building and Shambles Square, you will discover unique fairtrade hats and jackets, character belts, soaps and more.
Food stalls will also be offering handmade pies and cupcakes.
Cathedral Gardens Manchester Christmas Market Ice Rink
Along with lots of lovely stalls offers hot drinks and food, pancakes and festive alcholic tipples, Cathedral Garden will also be home to festive ice rink Skate Manchester.
This undercover ice rink will offer the chance to skate under twinkly lights whilst listening to some great Christmas carols.

When are the Manchester Christmas Markets open for 2022?
The Manchester Christmas Markets 2022 will run from Thursday 10th November until 6.00pm Thursday 22nd December.
However the stalls around Cathedral Gardens will continue to run until 31st December as part of the Skate Manchester offering.
The stalls will open at the following times:
- The food and drink stalls across all the Christmas market locations will be open 11.00 am to 9.00 pm every day.
- Craft and gifts stalls across all the Christmas market locations will be open 10.00 am to 8.00 pm every day, Monday to Sunday.
Where to park for the Manchester Christmas Markets?
With the Manchester Christmas Markets being spread right across the centre there are lots of places to park.
Piccadilly Plaza and Chorlton Street are popular choices being located to some of the bigger sites. Plus the car park at Manchester Arndale is also in a good location ( you need to pay at the time of parking here.
Manchester City Centre does get busy this time of year and it is recommended to use public transport where you can.
