Halloween In The City is back in Manchester for 2025 with lots of monstrous events in store. 

The Halloween Festival in Manchester is returning for 2025, bringing a giant monster party to the city for the weekend.

A massive monster music festival will be hitting the city’s streets, where you can expect monsters around every corner.

The weekend will include a giant rooftop monster invasion, Monster’s Rock Musical Festival, spooky DJs, live performances and lots more. 

Here is everything in store for Halloween In The City 2025. 

Although the dates have been confirmed, details are still to come. Here is what we know so far: 

When is Manchester’s Halloween In The City in 2025? 

Halloween in The City Manchester Times

The Halloween in the City celebrations will start on Saturday, 25th and will run to Friday, 31st October 2025. 

The main events will however, be happening on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October 2025. 

Manchester Monster Invasion

Saturdady 25th to Friday 31st October 2025

The monsters will be back in Manchester City Centre hiding on top of buildings, peeping from windows and maybe hiding in trees.

Created by artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas, this year there will be lots to find. So make sure you look up and down and all around whilst you wander around.

Monsters Rock Party Procession 

When is Halloween In The City Manchester

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October 2025

Walk the Plank will be bringing a welcome parade with a difference, designed to welcome this year’s visiting monsters. 

Expect a crazy procession of monster puppets, stilt walkers, and more.

The parade will take the following route: 

  • Starting: Market Street, Outside Boots
  • Then onto: Around Manchester Arndale (Lower Mall), back out onto Market Street, up Market Street, and back down Market Street
  • Ending: Market Street, Outside Boots

There will be three parades daily at:

  • 11.30 am 
  • 13.30 pm
  • 3.30 pm

Carnival of Monsters, St Ann’s Square 

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October 2025

St Ann’s Square will be taken over for the weekend by the Carnival of Monsters, where you can expect a family-friendly freakshow with roaming circus performers, hula hooping workshops, a hall of mirrors and… the terrifying, gigantic, wriggling Leech!  

The Leech 

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October 2025 

Walk the Plank will be bringing their eight-metre-long creature, its underground skeleton puppet friends and their stilt walking ringmaster as they boogie down St Ann’s Square and Exchange Street, all set to a soundtrack to die for.

You will be able to catch The Leech each day at:

  • 11:00 – 11:30
  • 14:00 – 14:30
  • 16:30 – 17:00

Monster Sticker Hunt 

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October 2025

Can you track all the monster parts down to build your very own monster? From bloodshot eyes, pointy ears, warty noses and gruesome gobs – there are creepy creature parts lurking all over the festival

Pick up a sticker sheet at the Information Point, on New Cathedral Street (outside Zara), head to The Monster Library, The Rave-Yard, Monster Fashion Week and the Carnival of Monsters, collect the stickers and create your own weird and wonderful beast. 

Complete your monstrous masterpiece, creep back to the Information Point on New Cathedral Street and show your finished face for a mini monster prize.

The Monster Library: The Legend of the MCR Monsters – Manchester Arndale

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October 2025

Head inside Manchester Arndale for a LIVE storytelling performance by Z-arts, that uncovers the origin of the legendary MCR Monsters.

It will run on both the 25th and 26th of October at set times throughout the day.

Monster Fashion Week 

Saturday 25th and 26th October 2025

For the very first time, the monsters are hosting their own frightfully fabulous fashion show. 

Wearing you most ghoulish glamour, creep-chic couture, or terrifyingly trendy threads, there will be a chance hit the monster catwalk.

Rave-Yard Music Zone

Halloween In The City Manchester what is it

Saturday 25th and 26th October 2025

Join the resident evil DJs at the Rave-Yard is a ghost’s favourite place to party.

There will be the chance to dance and play ghoulish games. Here is what is in-store:
