Located in Manchester City Centre, the Science and Industry Museum is always a good bet for a free day out. 

This half term they have lots going on from with their Teddy Bear hospital, the chance to meet Operation Ouch’s Dr Chris and Dr Ronx and lots more.

Lamb Feeding at Lancaster Park and Animal Farm

This May head to Lancaster Park and Animal Farm to try your hand at Lamb Feeding. 

Help bottle feed the lambs who love their warm milk. 

You will also be able to enjoy all the fun of the farm including meeting their animals, play areas and caterpillar rides (additional costs apply to some activities). 

Admission to the farm costs £7.50 per person, under 1’s are free. Bottle feeding costs £3.00 per bottle.

Disney’s Aladdin Theatre Show, Palace Theatre Manchester

Here you will discover Rob Biddulph’s unique characters located at the most unusual hotel.

At The 100 Story Hotel there are all sorts of guests; lions and tigers, dinosaurs and bears. Plus the porters are penguins, the housekeeping team is headed up by a handy octopus – and Clive the polar bear is the concierge.

There’s just one problem at this wonderful establishment – although the hotel is usually full of 100 amazing stories, one story has just gone missing! The hotel desperately needs your help to find the naughty culprit. Can you follow the clues and track them down?

The 100 Story Hotel at Z-arts is aimed at families with children aged 1 to 8 years. Tickets cost £9.50 and the experience last for 50 minutes.

Children will have a chance to make their own crafty masterpiece, there will be dressing-up, colouring, hands-on activities and the popular Cranford the Cat trail around the historic house will be back. 

The Easter event will be run on 11.00 am to 4.00 pm (last entry 3.00 pm) on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Sunday 31st March to Thursday 11th April. 

The event is included in the admission which costs £7.50 for adults and free for children under 16, when accompanied by an adult.

Discover 30 old stationary steam engines, some of which once powered the cotton mills and woollen mills of the North of England and lots of which are unique being only one of its kind in the world!

Free Heritage Bus Rides, Museum Of Transport Manchester

Monday 27th May 2024

The Museum of Transport will be running its free Heritage Bus Rides on Bank Holiday Monday. 

The bus will run from the Museum of Transport to Queens Road Metrolink, Corporation St, Shudehill, Queens Road Metrolink and back to the Museum of Transport.

The buses run from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm.

The museum will also be open, tickets for which cost £6 for adults and children under 16 years are free.
