Portland Basin in Ashton Under Lyne has lots of fun in store for the Easter Craft Activities at Make Do and Play.

The Tameside museum has some fun, cheap activities planned with their Make Do and Play sessions

Great for those on a budget you can join artists make something arty and crafty in this drop-in children’s craft activity with the following themes.

The sessions will run from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm, are suitable for all ages and cost £1.35.

Bouncy Bunny

Make a bouncy bunny from folding paper and then decorate to take home.

Thursday 2nd April 2026

Use your imagination to create a celebration of Spring. You can decorate however you want, add ribbon to take home and display for all to see.

Tuesday 7th April 2026

Join local artist Helen Dodsworth to create your own mini birds’ nests, with little cheery spring chicks.

Thursday 9th April 2026

Make your own bouncing rabbit cup puppet! Jiggle the string to watch it bounce and dance about in this workshop led by artist Helen Dodsworth.
