Each January the Department for Education releases the school league tables for secondary schools in England and Wales.
Due to restrictions and school closures due to Covid 19, the Government has announced that it will not publish any school or college level performance data based on tests, assessments, or exams for 2020 or 2021. They have recommended that data from previous data should be used from the end of Key Stage 4 for 2019.

The school league tables use different measures including Progress 8 which is based on how much progress a child has made since the end of Key Stage 2 and the end of Key Stage 4 and Attainment 8, based on how pupils performed in up to eight GCSE subjects, and those staying in education or entering employment after school.
