SuperThings, Rivals of Kazboom are fun collectible figures from Magicbox Toys where everyday objects are heroes or villains.
The new Guardians of Kazoom range have now hit the shops and we were kindly sent a selection of the range for the purpose of an honest review.
We asked our On The Go Reviewer Gemma and her nine-year-old daughter to check them out. Find out what they thought and everything you need to know about the new Guardians of Kazoom below.
Review SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom
My daughter absolutely loves collectible mini-figures. She enjoys unboxing them, looking up which figures she has collected and will play with them for hours on end.
Having never had SuperThings before we jumped at the chance to check out the Guardians of Kazoom range. Here is what we thought and what you need to know about the new Rivals of Kaboom.
What Are SuperThings Guardians Of Kazoom?
SuperThinngs are collectible mini-figures where everyday objects are transformed into superheroes and villains who fight against each other in the city of Kaboom.
The new Guardians of Kazoom are the new Kazoom Kids who have absorbed the Kazoom power more than anyone before. The heroes and villains are now battling it out to control the power.
SuperThings Guardians Of Kazoom Characters
The SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom feature over 80 characters to collect.
The characters are divided into superheroes and villains and each of these is grouped into different teams.
SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom heroe teams include the Soccer Squad, Tasty Tactics, Sound Masters, Metallic Crew, Lucky Fashion and Navy Lightning.
SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom Villian teams include Boxing Brawlers, Breakfast Baddies, Game Breaker, Revolt Gang, Messy Staff and Unbreakable Unit.
The characters each have a rival from the opposite team and there are Crystal, Rare Gold and Silver Captains, Crystal characters to discover.
SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom kazoom Kids
Along with the SuperThings, there are also 6 Kazoom Kids to find. Again the Kazoon Kids are divided into heroes and villains and belong to a team.
Each one is a different colour and has an amazing glass effect! The Kazoom Kids you can collect are heroes Burgerblast from Tasty Tactics, Kickstar from Soccer Squad, Guitarrific from Sound Masters.
The villains to collect are Power Punch from Bowling Brawlers, Glazer from Breakfast Baddies and Gameglitch from Game Breakers.
SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom Jets
There are also 12 Kazoom Jets, with 6 different models which feature its own form of attack and each model comes in 2 different colours.
The jets include Panic Puncher which hits out with its fists, Hungry Hammer uses a hammer to clear its path, Electric Tornado generates a strong current, Circle Gutter moves very fast with its power saw, while Hyper Drill has the most powerful drill in Kaboom City and Comet Kicker throws its rivals at very dizzy speeds.
SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom Superbots
Entering the City of Kazoom soon will be the new Superbots, which come with an exclusive Kazoom Kid and exclusive SuperThing Character.
What SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom Packs are available?
The SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom come in a range of packs including one pack, Kazoom Jet boxes, Kazoom Kids, Pack 4, Pack 10, Starter Pack and MegaPack.
We were gifted a Starter Pack, Pack 4, a Kazoom Jet Box and four One Packs.
What Do The SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom Packs Contain?

Which SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom Did We Open?
As soon as my daughter saw the SuperThing packs she couldn’t wait to get them open and it was great to see that all the packaging is made from cardboard and paper.
She pounced first on the starter pack first and loved that there was a comic inside and was excited that the characters and jet came in little blind bags.
In the jet bag, she opened the Electric Tornado jet in a metallic effect (which is exclusive to the starter pack) and came with Starscrew from Metallic Crew. In the one pack bags, she opened Shelldon a cute little egg from Lucky Fashion and Crystal Powerhead from Boxing Brawlers.
Next, she went for the Pack Four where she discovered two jet bags and two one packs. In the jet packs, she opened Comic Kicker with Crystal Stinger character from Sound Masters and Hyper Drill jet with red Paincake from Breakfast Baddies. On opening the characters she was over the moon to find the silver rare Trafficmaster from Revolt Gang and purple Powerboard from Soundmasters.
Next up was the Kazoom Jet box. Here she found another Comet Kicker with the Ketchup from Tastytactics.
Finally, she made her way through the One Packs, finding the green Triple Pea fro, Navy Lightning, blue Kaboot and Crystal Turbogoal from Soccer Squad and Lord Shakeous.

What We Thought About SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom
The SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom have been a big hit with my daughter. She adored opening the characters, looking on the checklist for their names and team and ticking them off.
She has also loved the comic that came in the starter pack. Reading it instantly after opening all the packs and proceeding to tell me all about the Guardians of Kazoom back story and pointing out which characters are rivals and so ‘need to fight’.
The Kazoom Jets were a great surprise. None of her other collectibles have included vehicles before and the fact they all have wheels and a method of attack captured her imagination. Using them to battle each other, swapping the characters in and out and zooming across the table.
Since opening the SuperThings she has pretty much played with them and I have even seen my 12-year-old son join in a few times.
I predict a lot more SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom in our future.
