Summer Holidays at Dunham Massey
Saturday 1st June to Sunday 8th September 2024
Dunham Massey is always a popular day out and they have some extra fun in-store over the summer and bank holiday.
On Saturday and Sunday you can enjoy fun storytelling sessions. Plus on Bank Holiday Monday check out Musical Mondays with classical music with a twist on the formal lawn.
There will be lots of natural play each day, a fun trail around the Dunham Massey house and a wildlife walk.

The Gruffalo Birthday Trail, Delamere Forest, Northwich
Ongoing to Monday 16th September 2024The Gruffalo is celebrating his 25th Birthday and he is inviting everyone to go on a fun trail.
Help give the Gruffalo a party to remember as you find everything you need for a party such as balloons, pine cones, apples and even the Gruffalo himself.
This interactive family trail features party-themed activities and games, rubbings and fun facts about life in the forest.
The trail pack costs £4.00 and includes a kraft bag to colour in, a party headband, an activity trail leaflet, stickers, a pencil, crayon and sew on Gruffalo patch.
You will also need to pay for parking at the forest.

Summer of Play, Quarry Bank
Saturday 20th July to Sunday 1st September 2024
This summer it’s all about new ways to play at National Trust’s Quarry Bank.
There will be a mini obstacle course, hay bale maze , the chance to build creations, dress up and more.
Plus you can go on the Apprentice House Tours, enjoy wildlife and nature walks plus enjoy their outdoor theatre sessions.

Summer of Play at Lyme Park
National Trust Lyme Park will also be offering a summer of play.
Head to the house and gardens for lots of fun activities. From indoor board games, to building activities to the chance to take part in a hobby horse race.

Meet YouTube sensation, Little Grey Fergie! He’s a small tractor with a big character and heart. He’s happy and curious and loves to help.

Characters Meet and Greets at Castaway Play, Congleton

Castaway Play will be hosting lots of different character meet and greets throughout the holidays.

Do Something Summer Weaving – Saturday 24th August – 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm – While visiting the museum you can see the old looms and machinery used for weaving silk and the workshop you can have a go yourself!
Do Something Summer Ancient Egypt – Saturday 24th August 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm Make your own pectoral designs inspired by Tutankhamun and also playing the ancient board game Senet.
Treacle Tots – Sunday 25th August 2024 Youngest visitors can discover what life was like for child in Victorian Macclesfield. They will explore our cottage, dress up, do a craft activity and play games. Plus juice and a biscuit for the children. The sessions will run 12.00 pm to 4.00 pm, cost £3.50 and booking is required.
Clash of Knights at Beeston Castle, Beeston
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 2024
Head to Beeston Castle to experience an all-action contest as teams of knights battle it out for victory in a gruelling test of strength and skill.
Kids can unleash their inner knight at sword school and have-a-go activities.
The event will run from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
There is an extra charge for the event above the usual entry fee. Tickets cost entry price which costs from £15.00 for adults, £9.00 for children and from £24.00 for family tickets.

Free Fun at Blakemere Village
Sunday 25th and Monday 26th August 2024.
Head to Blakemere Village for some free family fun.
On Sunday 25th August, there will be a free circus workshop from Circus Sensible.
Then on Monday 26th August you can enjoy a giant bubble display.
Both events are free and drop-in and will run from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm.
