Bloomtown Manchester Blossom Trail
Blossom season is back, which means Bloomtown is returning to Manchester for 2026 with a beautiful celebration of spring across the city’s parks.
Part of the National Trust’s annual Blossom campaign, Bloomtown invites families to explore a series of blossom trails across Manchester, with maps available to guide you through some of the city’s best green spaces.
The event launches with a special free family day at Heaton Park, packed with creative activities, storytelling and nature-inspired fun.
Bloomtown Launch Event at Heaton Park

Head to Heaton Park for a fun-filled launch event celebrating blossom and nature. Taking place alongside UNESCO World Poetry Day, the event will feature a mix of creative activities designed for families.

- ‘Bling Up Your Bike’ workshops with Bee Pedal Ready
- A chance to explore Heaton Park in bloom
- Pop-up Bloomtown gazebo near the Animal Centre and Stables Café
Stories in Bloom Poetry Walk
Take part in a guided poetry walk around Heaton Park with Oak & Pen Tours, celebrating nature, blossom and storytelling.
Spaces are limited and cost £1 per person, so advance booking is recommended.
The Bloomtown Blossom Trail
The Bloomtown trail runs across several Manchester parks, encouraging families to get outdoors and enjoy the beauty of spring.
Pick up a map or follow the trail online as you explore:

- Wythenshawe Park

- Castlefield Viaduct
- Central Library
- Sadlers Yard
The trail is free to take part in and is perfect for a relaxed family day out, combining fresh air, nature and gentle exploration.
