What is Manchester Day?
Manchester Day is a fun-free carnival day celebrating the people of Manchester, and this year the theme will be all about music.
The day will offer a fun summer’s day, celebrating the music of Manchester.
Although the full lineup has not yet been announced, it has been confirmed that there will be
- A music-filled mini parade from St Peter’s Square, along Deansgate, to Manchester Cathedral.
- The outdoor specialist Walk The Plank will be working on a programme for all ages.
- English National Opera teaming up with Manchester’s football fans and community choirs.
- West End Show Tunes
- Juggling drummers
- Musical Cats
- Larger-than-life canary all in a giant birdcage
- Hands-on making music experiences

When Is Manchester Day 2025?
Manchester Day will take place on Saturday 26th July 2025 with the activities and entertainment running from 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm
