Halloween and October Half Term at Quarry Bank

We love National Trust Quarry Bank for a family day out, and this October half term, they’ve brewed up a cauldron of seasonal fun for all ages.
From wildlife spotting to spooky storytelling, here’s what’s in store for autumn 2025.
Family Garden Wildlife Watch
Saturday 18th October to Sunday 2nd November 2025
This October half term, little nature lovers can join gardener Sophie for a hands-on wildlife adventure in the gardens of Quarry Bank.
During this one-hour guided session, children will explore the upper garden to spot birds, bugs and maybe even signs of mammals. Sophie will share fun facts and practical tips on how to attract wildlife to your own garden at home—perfect for curious minds and budding eco-explorers.
Sessions run on Thursday 30 October 2025 at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Tickets are £3 per child. Adults attend free and do not require a ticket. Admission charges do not apply.
Halloween at Quarry Bank
Thursday 23rd October to Saturday 1st November 2025
From the producers of Christmas at Dunham Massey, this year families can enjoy a brand-new Halloween trail.
Set within the eerie grounds of the Mill, it will be filled with hidden surprises as you wander from dusk into darkness. The darker it gets, the spookier it gets.
You will wander around the Mill Grounds and the Mill as you discover grinning pumpkins, and flickering flames in fiendish and it things really do go bump in the night. If you’re lucky, you might even get a glimpse of the mysterious, ghostly horseman…
There will also be some spooky food on offer from bewitched burgers, Frankenstein’s fries and loaded curly worms.

October Half Term at Quarry Bank
Saturday 25 October to Sunday 2 November 2025
Quarry Bank is hosting a full week of Halloween-themed family fun—no booking required!
Here’s what’s in store:
- Spooky tours of the Apprentice House
- Halloween trail through the Upper Garden
- Spooky trail around the Mill
- Halloween crafts in the Learning Space (Monday to Friday only)
- Pumpkin spiced lattes and sweet treats at the café
- Seasonal gifts and Halloween homeware in the Mill Yard Shop
Activities run daily from 10:30am to 5:00pm. Suitable for children aged 3 and up.
Entry Ticket Prices at Quarry Bank, Wilmslow

Entry tickets are required to take part in the Quarry Bank Half term events and cost from:
- £21.00 for adults
- £10.50 for children
- £31.50 for a family with 1 adult and 3 kids
- £52.50 for a family of 2 and 3 kids
For National Trust Members entry is free.
