Manchester Christmas Parade
Get ready for one of Manchester’s most heartwarming Christmas traditions: the Manchester Christmas Parade.
This free, family‑friendly event winds its way through the city centre this December, bringing together colourful performers, giant puppets, live music, and festive characters.
Manchester Christmas Parade 2025
Manchester’s free Christmas Parade will be heading back to the city once again and promises to be bigger than ever.
Spectators can expect live music bringing the sounds of the season and colourful dancers at every turn.
The main draw to the parade will be Manchester’s very own Elf Express – a spectacular train with carriages full of elves and the VIP passenger Santa.
There will also be
- Nutcracker-inspired Toy Soldiers
- Gentle giant-sized reindeer
- An Arctic fox
- Jack Frost
- Festive Fantasy Candyland Castle
- Snow Queen in her snow globe
If that’s not enough, there will be the chance to sing along with Elton Wrong piano man as he rides along on his portable stadium stage whilst playing the piano and crooning his way through his top ten of pop hits and show tunes.
There will also be lots of pop-up festive fun around the city.
Where will the Manchester Christmas Parade take place?
The Christmas Parade will take place in Manchester City Centre and will set off from Manchester Cathedral on a longer route than in previous years.
The parade will then follow the following route:
- Manchester Cathedral
- Victoria Street
- Deansgate
- John Dalton Street
- Cross Street
- Market Street
- St Mary’s Gate
- Deansgate
- Victoria Street

When is the Manchester Christmas Parade for 2025?
The Manchester Christmas Parade will take place on Sunday, 7th December 2025 – the time is still to be confirmed. at 1.00 pm
