The Smithills Farm pumpkin picking extravaganza and Halloween events are back for 2025 for lots of spooky fun.

Pumpkin Picking at Smithills Open Farm
Enjoy pumpkin picking in the woods at Smithills.
There will be hundreds of pumpkins to choose from and some great photo ops.
Fancy dress is welcome.
The patch will be suitable for all ages and will be pram-friendly.
Smithills Farm Pumpkin Picking Dates
The pumpkin-picking event will run on:
- Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October
- Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October
- Saturday 25th to Friday 31st October
Tickets to Smithills Farm Pumpkin Picking Event
Tickets will go on sale on 1st October and will be priced £6 per pumpkin (not per person).
The ticket does not include a farm or entry to their Halloween event – see below.
Halloween Special at Smithills
Get your spook on this year at the Smithills Halloween Special event.
Children of all ages will be able to enjoy:
- Spooky sweet hunt.
- Spot the staff in fancy dress.
- See the farm all decorated in a spooky theme.
- Take part in the children’s fancy dress competition.
Plus you can enjoy the fun of the farm including:
- Toy tractors
- Outdoor play area
- Watch the workings of a dairy farm
- Meet the animals including meerkats, piglets, reptiles and more
- Donkey rides (additional price)
- Tractor rides

The Halloween Special is running at Smithills Farm from:
- Saturday 25th October through until Friday 31st October.

Halloween Fright Night at Smithills
Enjoy a spooky night of fun at Smithills Farm.
Go on a ghoulish guided tour including:
- Haunted Tractor Rides
- Spooky Woodland Walk
- Zombie Barns
- Werewolf Woods
Supper will be included.
Suitable for children over 6 years and over and not for the faint-hearted.

The Smithills Fright Night will take place on Friday 31st October 2025.
