Timber Festival Is Back For 2024

Timber Festival has announced an enchanting programme lineup for 2024.

The family-friendly festival, is located at Feanedock, a 70-acre woodland site in the National Forest and has lots of fun in-store. 

What is The Timber Festival?

Timber Festival is an immersive and revitalising weekend festival celebrating nature.

Run by the female-founded award-winning arts organisation Wild Rumpus (Just So Festival), the festival features carefully curated musical performances, installations, debates and workshops.

Within the backdrop of the National Forest, it gives you the chance to join new thinkers, activists, makers, artists, musicians and writers to play, provoke and inspire. 

Each year the festival is divided into areas and for 2024 you can expect:

  • The Eyrie Stage – Deep in the woodland it is the place for beautiful music, thoughts, ideas by day, and wild dancing by night with treetop DJs.
  • Nightingale Stage – The big stage where you will find bold talks and powerful music. 
  • Fire In The Belly – Where you will discover a campfire, workshops, big talks and more. 
  • All The Elements – Join a range of diverse voices and conversations
  • Here Is The Hope – This artist-led collaborative space offers a great place to create.
  • Possible Places – The Youth Landscapers Collective will be helping the young voices of the future have their say.
  • Craftivism – Make and create with your very own hands. 
  • State of Play – Enjoy the chance to play in a brave new world of anarchism and curiosity amongst the trees. 
  • Shivelight – Find yoga, tai-chi, mindfulness and wellness workshops in this relaxing space.
  • The Common – The place to eat and share knowledge on the sustainability of growing food waste and more. 

The 2024 Timber Festival Line-Up

The 2024 Timber Festival Line-Up will include: 

  • DJ Set from Haçienda’s Dave Hallam
  • Bamboo – No Fit State Circus with a live performance showing what is possible when humans trust the natural world. 
  • Live Art flower show, where the audience will take centre stage with the artists. 
  • Stone Circle – Help build a Timber Festival stone circle for colourful ritual and spiritual moments. 
  • The Seeds of Change –  Discover how to grow,weave through that network of mycelium between our feet and hear the buzz of the honeybee.
  • Sound Bath Sessions 
  • Campfire sessions with music and stories 
  • Star Gazing – Gaze in wonder at the starry skies above Feanedock. Leicester Astronomical Society will lead Timberfolk in gazing at the skies as night falls!
  • Timber Play – Young and old will be able climb explore and play climbing stack becomes the setting to sit back, relax and enjoy a spectacular aerial circus show.
  • Pulse Bomboozle Theatre – Join Patience, Bird and Zach as they encounter Clanky Jane and her mysterious Cloud-o-matic machine. Will their music, rhythms and a little bit of magic be enough to bring on the rain?
  • Tom and Tale Teller – enjoy traditional story telling 
  • Sensory trail 

Plus there will be a whole host of live music from the likes of: 

  • Heka – who brings a refreshing mix of folk and modern electronic influences.
  • Scott Matthews – with a blend of folk, rock, blues.
  • Annie Gardiner (from Hysterical Injury) is set to enchant audiences with her beautiful melodies and stunning vocals
  • Tirzah an avant-garde musician with a captivating journey through her deeply personal and moving performance, is destined to be a highlight of Saturday night
  • KIITŌTŌ bringing innovative offerings, deep thought and inspired musical delights to the festival.
  • Rosi Plain with music which reflects a journey of artistic growth, collaboration, and a unique voice in the contemporary music scene.
  • The Journey – Perhaps Contraption – Award-winning experimental brass band Perhaps Contraption  and Deaf BSL poet Zoë McWhinney will lead the way.

The Timber Festival take place at the Hanging Hill Farm, Rawdon Road, Moira, Swadlincote, DE12 6DH.

The Timber Festival 2024 will take place on from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July 2024

Standard Weekend Tickets cost : 

  • £200 for adults
  • £60 for children

Standard Day Tickets cost : 

  • £75.00 for adults
  • £40 for children
  • £30 for Saturday evening tickets
