Manchester Day is a fun-free carnival day celebrating the people of Manchester and this year the theme will be ‘Holiday’

The day will offer a fun summer’s day with performers, skilful musicians, and a menagerie of surprising animals.

The city’s streets will be set to come alive with entertainment, tunes, dance moves and lots of wonderful shows.

The activities will be spread across the city centre with a helter-skelter in the middle of Deansgate along with deckchairs and music as the main street will become car-free.

St Ann’s Square will feature a bandstand and dance floor and there will be chance to listen to a music programme that mixes jazz or dhol drumming with brass bands, and disco classics from Chic Le Freak.

Later, head to the Northern Quarter to embrace the evening’s party atmosphere as dancers and musicians from Global Grooves take over the Northern Quarter.

The event will offer some amazing street acts and the North West’s most talented young musicians, lots of ice cream and a few giant snails all designed to delight families and kids.

When Is Manchester Day 2023?

Manchester Day will take place on 29th July 2023 with the activities and entertainment running from 12.00 noon  to 9.00 pm
