Wonderland Summer Holiday Activities, RHS Garden Bridgewater, Salford

Enjoy a fun family Alice in Wonderland trail and activities this summer at RHS Garden Bridgewater.
Running from 22 July to 31st August 2021, RHS Garden Bridgewater will be hosting a fun family trail across the garden featuring illustrations from the brand new edition of Through the Looking Glass, which celebbrates 150 years since the publication of Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There.
Plus there will there will be different themed events throughout the summer details below.

All the activities will be drop in and free but slots to visit the gardens will need to be booked on hte link below and the following normal admission to the gardens apply:

Alice and Friends: Saturday 24 July–Sunday 1 August
Enjoy promenade character performances throughout the day on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 July – join in croquet with the Queen of Hearts or chase the White Rabbit with Alice. Visit the woodland to see Wonderland itself and then join in with themed crafts (Wednesday 28 July) mini beast hunts (Thursday 29 July) or planting workshops (Thursday 29 and Friday 30 July).
Relax with Alice-themed family yoga (Saturday 31 July at 11.30am) or get immersed in storytelling (Saturday 24, Sunday 25 July and Sunday 1 August from 11am).
Looking Glass Beasts: Monday 9 August–Sunday 15 August
Alice meets all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures on her trip through the looking glass, but what can we find in our world? See real-life birds of prey with Wild Wings Birds of Prey (Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 August from 11am–3.30pm) and get up close with fantastic creepy crawlies with ZooLab (Monday 9 and Thursday 12 August from 11am–4pm).
Relax with Alice-themed family yoga (Saturday 7 August from 11.30am) or join in Goblin hunts with Yan Tan Tethera (Sunday 8 August). Other days you can enjoy Jibber-Jabberwocky: Nonsense Poems and Stories with storyteller Gav Cross, which is sure to be an active, raucous and noisy celebration of nonsense, in all its playful forms (Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August from 11am). There will be different activities each day – more details available soon.
Wonder-Landscapes: Monday 16 August–Tuesday 31 August
The pool of tears, the chessboard, the garden of live flowers… Alice has adventures across many landscapes in the stories. Explore our woodlands to enjoy your own Wonderland adventure, then enjoy Alice-themed craft (Wednesday 25 August) ‘Eat me’ or ‘Drink me’ themed planting (Friday 20–Sunday 22 August) and learn all about plants with a bite at workshops with Wack’s Wicked Plants (Monday 23, Tuesday 24 August and Thursday 26 August).
Relax with Alice-themed family yoga (Saturday 21 August at 11.30am) or get immersed in storytelling (Sunday 22 August from 11am). Discover the fascinating world of cacti and succulents at Cactus World Live (Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 August), with displays and family activities to get you growing at home.
Wonderland Wednesdays: Every week, 28 July–25 August
Immerse yourself in another world on Wonderland Wednesdays. Families are encouraged to come in costume and bring a teddy bear friend to join in with the character picnic (12noon–1pm) where Alice or the Hatter is waiting to greet you, or just pop along for a meet and greet at 2.30pm. From 2pm–3.30pm you can join in with Wonderland crafts, making something different each week – from White Rabbit puppets to Cheshire Cat smiles.
