This summer, a family festival filled with food, drink and music comes to MediaCityUK in Salford, with plenty on for the kids too.

The MediaCityUK Summer Weekender, which is brought to Salford in collaboration with ParentFolk, BBC Philharmonic and The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, is the ideal treat for all the family this summer.

Throughout the weekend, head to the ParentFolk Summer Beach Club to take part in activities such as ; Under the Sea mobile making, beach bag designing, hair and beauty pop up and lots more.

There will be funfair rides , stalls and licenced bars and food karts too (there will be an additional charge for fairground rides.)

On Friday, there will be music especially for the little ones, with The Gingerbread Man with BBC Philharmonic’s Early Ears, followed by the Disco Mums DJ Set. Saturday sees the arrival of the Craig Charles Funk and Soul DJ Set, or chill out on Sunday to the sounds of the BBC Philharmonic String Quartet.

Tickets are available now and cost £15 for a day family ticket (2 adults, 2 children), and children aged 3 and under go free.
