Start Date: 23 Nov 2019
End Date: 24 Nov 2019
Venue: The University of Salford, New Adelphi Building
The Lowry Theatre is offering Salford teenagers the chance to take part in FREE workshops in 3 exciting areas of the creative industry.

The workshops, which are open to teenagers living in Salford ages 14 – 18, will look at the different ways you can work within a theatre off-stage. They will take place on Saturday 23rd November from 11am-5pm at the University of Salford: New Adelphi Building.

The workshops will look at:

Digital Arts – this will concentrate on the new technology around us and in our pockets which allow us to be creative in lots of different ways.

Technical Theatre – this will look at areas such as lighting, sound and stage equipment, which are essential for enhancing on-stage theatre work.

Design & Fabrication: this will get you thinking about the set or props or even puppets which will be involved in a show and you’ll get an insight into how to make your designs a reality.

After trying each of these workshops, participants can then choose to take one of the skills to Stage 2. This will take place on Sunday 24th November.

After meeting at the New Adelphi Building at 1pm, participants will be transported to a specialist site to take part in an afternoon exploring digital arts, technical theatre or design and fabrication, learning from the experts.
