What is The Manchester Play Day Festival?
The Play Day Festival is part of Manchester’s 2022 Our Year.
It is taking place to celebrate National Play Day which is organised each year by Play Day to highlight the importance of play.
Ths years National Play Day theme is ‘building play oppertunities for ALL children’.
What is going on that Manchester Play Day Festival?
Manchester Play Day Festival will feature entertainment throughout the day along with a D.J’s playing music.
The entertainment will include:
- Facepainting
- Storytelling
- Crafts
- Circus Skills
- Den building
- Bug hunts
- A climbing wall
- Appearances from Pip and Posy
- And lots more …….
The day is designed for children up to 14 years old.
Manchester’s Youth and Play sector will be on hand with information about play.
What Time is The Manchester Play Day Festival?
The Manchester Play Day Festival will run on Wednesday 3rd August 2022 and will be open 10.00am to 14.00pm.
It will be located in Whitworth Park next to The Whitworth art gallery.
