People Powered Party – a drop in session for children over 5 years and over you can pedal power a disco and find out how food gives you power to dance (23rd to 30th October 2019)
The Big Build drop in for an engineering challege or create a moving robot (23rd to 30th October 2019).
The Juggling of Science For children over 7 years over watch a great show where the atomic world to life and take part in workshops (27th October – 1st November 2019)
Make a Lamp Shade reccommended for children over 5 years old you can create your own beautiful lamp shade, test it on a Little Sun lamp and take away your creation to use at home. (28th October to 3rd November 2019)
PI, Platform for Investigation reccomended for children over 7 years old there will be chance to get up close and find out more about everything, from looking at the stars and healthier hearts to maths in fashion and the future of travel. (19th to 27th October 2019)
Science Showdown reccomended for children over 5 years you can join our explainers for a battle of experiments in this daily interactive science show (27th to 31st October 2019)
Mini Movers for children under 5’s running at 11.00a, and 13.30pm each day this Makaton-friendly adventure around the museum will have you whirring like a cog and turning like a crank to find out how our bodies work like machines (19th October to 3rd November 2019)
Crank-Bots for children over 5 years old will give you the chance to get your robot artist drawing, and create a unique piece of artwork for you to take home (23rd to 30th October 2019)
Bright Sparks for children over 7 years where you can Electricity North West as they take over the museum. Build light up circuits, discover how electricity powers your home and become a real bright spark yourself (23rd to 26th October 2019)
Waters Wacky Lab recommended for over 5 years the Wacky Lab full is full of hands-on experiments with the chance to play with quicksand, build megastructures and try out the positive (and negative) magic of magnets (24th October)
Pop-Up Engineers for children over 5 years you can spin the wheel, play Jenga and find out how engineering really is all around us by chatting with our volunteer STEM Ambassadors. Then, find your inner engineer through games and quizzes (28th October to 1st November 2019)
Big Draw Festival: See some of the 10,000 ‘thinking caps’ created by Manchester school children for the Big Draw Festival. Then grab a blank paper hat and make your own at this one day only workshop (30 October)
