This February Half Term, Jodrell Bank has lots of fun and events for kids and families.

Jodrell Bank in Cheshire Makes a great half-term day out and this year they have lots of fun in-store. 

Here is what is on:

Half Term: Cap Com Go – 18th to 26th February 2023 (when Open)

Jodrell Bank Science Show

Enjoy a film in the Dome as you watch three Astronauts blast off to space on July 16th 1969 as first ever attempt to land humans on the Moon.

This short film allows you to relive the epic NASA Apollo 11 mission like never before.

CAP COM GO! is suitable for astronauts of all ages.

The shows will take place at 10.30 am and 2.30 pm each day and lasts 25 minutes.

Tickets are in addition to the entry and cost:

  • £4 for children 
  • £6 for adults 

Half Term Meet The Experts – 20th to 24th February 2023 (when Open)

Jodrell Bank are giving you the chance to meet an expert and ask all the questions you have wanted to know about space. 

This February you will get to meet an astrophysicist from the University of Manchester great for those curious about the Cosmos.

The event is suitable for children and adults. 

Entry is part of the admission cost. 

Journey through the Night Sky – Daily

Head to the Dome and get your head into the stars.

Stare into space and be guided through the night sky during this planetarium talk aimed at families. 

Tickets are in addition to the entry and cost:

  • £4 for children 
  • £6 for adults 

Telescope Talks – Daily

Learn all about the fascinating role it played in the space race and find out about some of the objects it studies in space such as quasars and pulsars.

Talks take place in the  Wolfson Auditorium and are included in general admission.

The talks last appoximatley 30 mins and are suitable for ages 5+.
