Take a trip on the Santa train at East Lancashire Railway this Christmas 2025. 

The Santa Specials is back at East Lancashire Railway for 2025 with lots of festive fun in-store.

What to expect from the East Lancashire Railway Santa Train

Get into the festive atmosphere as you take a magical Santa steam train trip, which will include 

Visit the beautifully decorated winter wonderland, Bury Bolton Street Station, where they will get to 

• Meet Mrs Claus
• Listen to the magical talking Christmas Tree 
• Sing A Long with the chorus of Polar Bears

Then board the steam train for a lovely steam train journey to Rawenstall Station and back, which will include:

• See your favourite Christmas characters 
• Enjoy a sing-along with the brass band 
• Meet Santa as he visits your carriage with a gift for the little ones, with time to chat and pose for a photo. 
• Whilst the adults enjoy a mince pie and a festive tipple (soft drinks available) the kids can enjoy a Fruit Shoot, chocolate and an activity pack for the children.

The round-trip Santa train lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
