Tameside Restaurant Wins Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards 2021

Tameside Restaurant wins a converted Manchester Food Festival Award.
The Manchester Food Festival Award recognises talent from restaurants and bars across Greater Manchester.
Taking place at a glamorous event Ticket Hall at Freight Island last night, the awards mark the end of the Manchester Food Festival which takes place annually in Manchester City Centre.
The awards see shortlisted restaurants and chefs from across the region competed in 16 categories with Tameside’s Lily’s Indian Vegetarian Cuisine winning the converted Neighbourhood Restuarant of the Year, which they also won the same award in 2019.
Lily’s Indian Vegetarian Cuisine based in Ashton Under Lyne serves authentic Indian food prepared by chefs from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Mumbai and deep south regions. The menu serves an extensive array of vegetarian food with a mix of Indian dishes mixed with oriental fusion options.
In recent years Lily’s Indian Vegetarian has grown from strength moving to a full-size restaurant in 2019 in Ashton Under Lyne and a second smaller location Lily’s Deli in Chorlton in 2020. They have also recently been sharing their dishes with Manchester students from their new spot on Oxford Rd.
Their menu is also constantly being updated with customers being able to enjoy delights such as the popular Thali and Indian afternoon tea menus.
