There are not one but two exciting Christmas markets this festive period in Salford Quays. The MediaCityUK Christmas Markets is on every day from its launch on the 15th November until 23rd December and we’re getting excited about Christmas just writing this. With lots of stalls selling various festive goodies, live performances, Christmas-themed cocktails, and of course, mulled wine, we might be leaving the kids at home! Find out more here.
The Maker’s Market also takes on a festive theme this Christmas from 21st November, as it is transformed into Whoville in preparation for the Lowry’s stage show Dr Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas The Musical. Find out more here.
That’s right, the ice rink is back at MediaCItyUK this Christmas, providing lots of fun for families, especially for the kids who will enjoy watching mum and dad falling on their bottoms. It’s also available for private hire….the work Christmas do anyone? Find out more here.
This free event from Quays Culture always proves popular with families, and is returning this year with more light sculputures to enjoy. Our only wish it that it stuck around a bit longer to brighten the Christmas period. Find out more here
What better way to mark the Christmas season than enjoying a festive show with the kids. This year, the Lowry is putting on its big family production Dr Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas The Musical, and for younger children, Julia Donaldson favourite The Gruffalo’s Child is brought to the stage too.
