Nothing beats a traditional pantomime at Christmas, for getting into the festive spirit. It’s a great way to spend time as a family, and a great chance of introducing the kids to theatre too. Salford Arts Theatre Presents Dick Whittington

1st – 31st December 2019

We have heard great things about Salford Arts Theatre’s pantomimes, and at around £30 for a family ticket, it’s not going to break the bank either. Get ready to boo and hiss the baddies, shout “it’s behind you”, and enjoy plenty of slapstick moments, in this traditional pantomime, Dick Whittington. Will he make his fortune? Beauty And The Beast At Swinton And Pendlebury Leisure Centre

7th December 2019

Chaplin Entertainments brings its traditional pantomime Beauty and the Beast to Swinton for one night only, so don’t miss out. 

When Beauty finds herself imprisoned in the castle of a mysterious beast, she must help to teach the Beast that true beauty comes from within, with the help of the castle’s enchanted housekeeper “Dusty.”

This heart-warming tale is full of comedy, songs, adventure and of course plenty of audience particpation and is perfect for families with children ages 3 – 12 years old. Find out more here.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical 

10th December 2019 – 5th January 2020

How The Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical  is The Lowry Theatre’s big Christmas show for 2019. If your kids are fans of the film, they’re bound to love this live version about the Grinch, who is determined to ruin Christmas for the Whos down in Whoville, but instead discovers the true meaning of Christmas. This musical version features hit songs such as “You’re a Mean One Mr Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas,” and if your budget can stretch after all the Christmas gift shopping, nativity costume-buying and christmas fair donating, we’re sure it will delight. The Gruffalo’s Child At The Lowry Theatre

6th December – 12th January 2019

A lovely festive treat, a loive adaptation of The Gruffalo’s Child is coming to The Lowry this Christmas.

Snowbabies At The Lowry Theatre

17th December  – 24th December 

Colour the Clouds Theatre Company brings this special show to Salford this Christmas, filled with interactive, sensory play activities to stimulate and captivate.
