A Grinch Themed Christmas Market is Coming to Salford

This Christmas, families can enjoy plenty of festive fun in the form of a Grinch-themed Christmas Market at Salford’s Lowry Outlet.

The regular Maker’s Market will be transformed this Christmas into a magical Whoville, ready for the arrival of How the Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical at the Lowry Theatre. Christmas shopping can be a drag for kids, but there is a whoel host of festive families fun lines up for visitors to the market too, making it a great day out for the whole family.

Which Gifts and Treats Will be On Offer at the Whoville Christmas Markets?

There will be lots of choice if you’re looking to find that unique gift for loved ones this Christmas. Each weekend, there will be different traders attending, offering a variety of exciting, vintage and modern crafts, tasty treats and festive goodies.

What’s On for Families at the Whoville Christmas Markets?

Youngsters will be able to visit the Whoville Post Office, where they will be able to write their very important letter to Father Christmas and post it priority post. Some helpful elves will be on hand to help them on their way, and make sure the Grinch doesn’t get his hands on their wish list.

Families’ help will be needed as well, to find the 16 missing presents which have been stolen from under the Whos’ Christmas trees. They have been hidden by that mean Grinch all over the Lowry Theatre, the Lowry Outlet and MediaCityUK. Can you help find them all before Christmas Day? Thankfully the Grinch has left us a map to help you on your way; these can be picked up from The Lowry, The Lowry Outlet or MediaCityUK. The trail will run from 21st November 2019 to 5th January 2020.

There will also be a Grinch-themed reading area at the top of Whoville from 21st November 2019 -5th January 2020. Youngsters will be able to enjoy reading festive tales in the Mount Crumpit reading corner, with books suitable for all ages. There will be some great photo opportunities to look out for too.
