World Firework Championships Are Back in Blackpool for 2021

The World Firework Championships are back in Blackpool for 2021 and here is what you need to know. 

Taking place on Friday nights in September the World Firework Championships offers a series of amazing firework displays with the backdrop of the Blackpool Illuminations (see here for times and dates of the Illuminations)

This years World Firework Championships will run on various Saturdays from 11th September 2021 to 9th October with the winners being announced on 23rd October September 2021 with displays from different countries from around the World. 

The displays will take place at a new launchpad over the beach in front of The Blackpool Tower. 

Dates of the World Firework Championships Blackpool 2021

Each week the events will start from 7.30pm with the first fireworks being launched at around 8.30pm. 

Saturday 11 September: Russia
Saturday 25 September: Ireland
Saturday 9 October: Germany
Saturday 23 October: Celebratory display and winners announcement from Titanium Fireworks.

All displays are subject to suitable weather conditions. 

Travel Advice for the World Firework Championships Blackpool And parking 2021

It has been advised that there will be likely traffic delays going to and leaving the event. It is therefore advised to leave early and if driving to park towards the Southern carparks and walk or use the tramway to the championships. 

Alternatively, Blackpool North Train Station is just a 12-minute walk to the championships.
