Moana and Maui Disney on Ice Find Your Hero
3 Nov 2021

The new Disney On Ice 100 Years of Magic 2019 has arrived at Manchester Arena and we were invited along to check it out.  Here’s what we thought.

As huge Disney fans, we love a trip to see Disney On Ice and couldn’t wait to the new Find Your Hero show featuring favourite Disney characters such as Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Rapunzel, Belle and the Beast and more.

For our top tips for visiting Disney On Ice 2021 Find Your Hero.

Read on for what thought of this new Disney On Ice show for 2021.

Plus you can have a sneak peek of the show by watching Harry World’s UK Video below.

Review of Disney On Ice 2021 Find Your Hero

In Disney On Ice tradition, the show began Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy kicking off the proceedings with the fabulous Disney On Ice skaters who showed off their amazing skills with lifts and moves that the Dancing on Ice stars dream of.

The fab four explained that they would be taking us on a journey to find the best Disney Heroes.

The Find Your Hero show first took us to follow Ariel and Flounder as the Little Mermaid saves Prince Eric whilst showing off her skating moves.

We were then transported under the sea to join Sebastian as explains in a spectacular style why ‘Under The Sea’ is better!

Before long Ursula the Sea Witch was on hand to ‘help’ Ariel become human in exchange for her voice, showing that she has some great skating moves to match her evil personality.

A rendition of ‘Kiss The Girl’ allowed Eric and Ariel to wow the audience with their skating duet and amazing moves.

We are then introduced to our next self declared hero the Demi-God ‘Maui’, however, it is not that type of strength that Mickey and his friends are looking for – cue Moana.

Complete with the Moana’s boat, Maui’s ‘Your Welcome’ and his famous rap and ‘I Am Moana’ these two heroes had some sensational skills on the ice.

From island life, we were whisked to Repunzals tower where she is forbidden to leave by Mother Gothal. But the draw of the lanterns and the need to skate is just too much as runs away (or I should say glides away)with Flynn Rider, not before she uses her frying pan a couple of times in a hilarious manner.

After a short interval, it was time to head to the Beast’s Castle to watch as Belle and the Beast fall in love with the Something There, Be Our Guest and infamous Beauty and the Beast Songs and to watch the dramatic ending unfold. With Mrs Potts, Chip, Lumiere and Gaston all joining this unlikely couple on the ice. It was no surprise that the girls all loved this condensed version of this “Tale as Old As Time’

Of course, a Find Your Hero show would not be complete with a trip to Arendelle as they open up the gates. Although a condensed version the show followed the film with favourite characters Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven and Hans all taking to the ice and renditions of Love Is An Open Door, In Summer and Let It Go – which had all the audience singing out loud.

Find Your Hero ended with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and characters from the journey, joining in the finale in a perfect ending to an amazing show.

What we thought of Disney on Ice Find Your Hero.

We loved the new Find Your Hero Show.  The Little Mermaid and the Repunzel scenes delighted my daughter and her friends and were well and truly in their element when singing along with Anna and Elsa. They were also over the moon to see Maui and Moana take to the Ice and were mesmerised throughout Beauty and the Beast, with my daughter declaring that Belle’s kiss with the Beast was her favourite part.

The special effects were of a true Disney standard with favourites including stunning lanterns taking to the sky, masses amounts of snowflakes falling from the sky, the Beasts Castle.

Add in the amazing ice skating skills and breathtaking routines, Disney On Ice Find Your Hero is a truly magical show which you don’t want to miss on its Manchester Run.
