MCR Active Sport Is Back Festival

Get the kids out of the house and active at the MCR Active ‘Sport Is Back’ Festival in Manchester this summer. 

 This fun event will run throughout the city on the weekends of 24th and 25th July and 31st July and 1st August 2021.  

The festival will incluse different sports and hosted by different sports clubs around Manchester. Activities will include a range of competitive competitions, to turn up and play sessions. It is a great opportunity to celebrate the return of sport without any restrictions in place and a chance for the clubs to showcase their sport and to attract new members.

Sport Is Back will be open to other clubs, individuals and the inexperienced. Here is what is on for kids and families.

MCR Active Sports Festival On Saturday 24th July 2021

Community youth football tournament, ages 6-16 

Wright Robinson Sports College, M18 8RL 12.00 noon -4.00pm

This fun tournament will take place from 12-4pm with players to arrive at 11.00am 

Teams will be made up on the day, so you don’t need to be part of one to take part.

Dominoes Netball Club Junior Tournament U9 – U16’s

Wright Robinson Sports College, M18 8RL – 8.30am for U9 – U12, 12pm for U13 – U16 (subject to change)

The tournament is for netball teams and you can you book your teams space here

LTA & We Do Tennis – All Ages 

Alexandra Park, M16 7JL – 12.00pm to 4.00pm

Try tennis at these fun sessions where you will shown all the techniques and skills of how to play.   (open access, just turn up and play).  

The sessions are open access, just turn up and play, no need to book.

TDS Dance

Performances will be taking place during the day by TDS Dance, with details shared to sign up to the club on the day.
