Taking place at the AO Arena Manchester on Monday 24th January 2022, the National Lottery’s Big Night Of Musicals will bring together, for the first time, the biggest shows from the world of musical theatre for one night only
The event, hosted by actor and comedian Jason Manford, will see spectacular performances from West End and touring musicals including FROZEN the Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, Disney’s The Lion King and Back to the Future.
The show will also feature The Drifters Girl, Beauty and the Beast, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock, Bat Out Of Hell, Dreamgirls, The Wiz, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, & Juliet, Waitress The Musical and Get Up Stand Up and The Bob Marley Musical.
The show will also air on BBC One on Saturday 29 January 2022.
Tickets are on general release and all of them are free for National Lottery players as a ‘thank you’ for funding over 2,000 theatres through the Covid crisis thanks to the £30m they raise every week for Good Causes.
Theatre enthusiasts can reserve up to four free tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. A £2 booking fee applies per person upon booking and proof of purchase of a National Lottery product is required on the day of the event by the ticket booker.
In addition, thousands of tickets have been made available to representatives from hundreds of National Lottery-funded community and grassroots arts organisations from across the North West to celebrate and acknowledge their amazing work throughout the pandemic.
Jason Manford, who has appeared in multiple West End musicals, including Sweeney Todd and Curtains, said: “After a very difficult 20 months for the theatre industry, I am proud and honoured to be hosting this National Lottery musical spectacular. The event promises to be a brilliant show full of celebration, featuring some of the best musicals on right now. I can’t wait for 24 January next year!”
