Dippy On Tour coming to Greater Manchester for 2020

Dippy the dinosaur is back on tour and will be making a stop in Greater Manchester for 2020.
The Natural History Museums famous Dippy The Diplodocus is stopping at Rochdale’s Number One Riverside as part of it’s UK tour.
On loan from the National History Museum Dippy has been touring at the UK. Having already visited museums in Dorset , Birmingham, Ulster, Glasgow, and Newcastle upon Tyne, Dippy will heading to Rochdale from from Monday 10th February 2020 to 28th June 2020.
The Rochdale stop is the only one in the North West and will give visitors the chance see Dippy a 26 meters long diplodocus up close.
If that is not enough you can leanr about how the Earth has changed since the dinosaurs were alive and what creatures lived in the North West.
Dippy will be located at Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale OL16 1XU.
Plus there will be a family friendly exhibition at Touchstones Rochdale, The Esplanade, Rochdale OL16 1AQ. The exhibition will include a swampland, a biodiversity gallery, the fossil of Rochdale’s famous scorpion,which is 300 million years old – even older than the dinosaurs and lots more.

It is free to visit Dippy On Tour in Rochdale and is drop in. However it is advised that schools and groups book in advance.

You can visit Number One Riverside in Rochdale to see Dippy the Dinosaur from 10th February 2020 to 28th June 2020 at the following times :
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30
Saturday – Sunday 09:30 – 17:00
Bank Holiday 10.00 – 16.00
The Dinosaur exhibits at Touchstones in Rochdale will also run 10th February 2020 to 28th June 2020 and will be open at the following times :
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30
