A festive light sculpture trail has come to Manchester for Christmas 2019

A new festive light scuplute trail has arrived in Manchester and it is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. 

As part of the Manchester Christmas Lights, Manchester City Centre is home to a new festive sculpture trail, which includes stars, baubles, a bee and lots more.

The giant light sculptures have been designed to be large enough to walk around and of course get those all important Christmas pictures and selfies. 

Along with the sculpures the Manchester City Centre Christmas lights also include 360,000 low energy LED lights placed in 126 trees across the city centre. 

The council have also indicated that this year the city’s Christmas lights are mostly biodegradable and made from recycled materials. 

Where can you find the Manchester Christmas Light Trail Scultpures? 

For those wanting to check out the Manchester Christmas Light Sculpture Trail you can find them at the following locations… 

In St Peters Square you will find :

  • A giant archway in the shape of a star and
  • A huge Manchester Bee 

In St Ann’s Square there is :

  • Large LED natvity scene 

At Manchester Cathedral you can see: 

  • A LED Christmas Tree 

In Piccadilly Gardens there is

  • A big arch covered in stars and 
  • Two large Christmas baubles 
  • A second illuminated arch 
  • The new Manchester Father Christmas

Plus in Piccadilly Gardens you will find two angles there to promote the Lightopia Festival at Heaton Park.
